Besök ditt tidigaste arbete – platsen som fick dig att intressera dig för fotografi. Paul Moakley beskriver själv situationen såhär i boken Photographers playbook:
Personally, I always think about a moment I saw in school about Mary Ellen Mark; that very moment when I decided I wanted to work with photography. I was a film about her series Ward 81, and I was totally captivated by how she could get into the lives of these people so intimately to distill and communicate something meaningful from it. I particularly loved the way she connected with the subjects. She captures the sense that the person agreed to let himself or herself be vulnerable for the moment. It’s something that I’ve always tried to do in my photographs.
